VP of Finance and Accounting Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Finance and Accounting Operations to lead one of San Antonio's most well-known companies.

The VP of Finance and Accounting Operations is responsible for:

Management of the full accounting and finance function of the company, its strategic planning and development, growth, and revenue.

Develop the Annual Operating Budget, Five-Year Financial Plan, and Capital Plan.

Oversight of the treasury management functions for operating and capital funds, compliance with the Public Funds Investment Act, and the company's Investment Policy.

Develop and manage the long-range capital plan, budgeting and forecasting, and create financial operating models compliant with the FTA Capital Investment Grant program projects.

Oversee grants administration, evaluate financing options, and submit related Transportation Improvement Plans to the Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Evaluate and analyze the company's debt financing program, develop related 30-year financial projections, identify financing needs, and make strategic financial operational recommendations.

Develop the company's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and coordinate the preparation of financial information and statements for audit reports.

Responsible for Financial Reporting package and presentation to Stakeholders, Board Meetings, Financial Advisors, Audit Firms, and Project Consultants.

Create KPI's and Financial Dashboards to report project progress, trends, and variances for President/CEO, Chief Administration Officer, and Deputy CEO.

Establish and implement internal controls and compliance with A/F Department and company goals, budget, quality standards, performance standards, and legal requirements.

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

CPA, MACC, CFA, or similar Certificate is strongly preferred and will get first consideration.

Experience in progressively responsible positions in industries similar or related to Federal, Municipal, or Government Contracting.

At least 5 years of experience in a Director, VP, or Senior Executive Accounting/Finance role managing multiple teams or cross-functional departments.

Proven successful implementation of strategic operational projects to completion while successfully managing stakeholders, including C-suite.
