We excel in preconstruction planning, MEP expertise, with experienced project team members focused on the multiple markets we serve. We also have an in-house Architectural Woodwork & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager at our Houston office.What you will do:
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex construction projects.Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.Manage relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.Lead project meetings, provide progress reports, and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.Monitor project performance and proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays.Ensure high-quality standards are maintained across all project deliverables.Mentor and manage junior project managers and construction teams.Support in recruiting, training, and mentoring new employees.Ensure compliance with company processes and technology utilization.Manage accounting functions and budget, prepare schedule of values, expedite Owner payments, and establish positive cash flow.Prepare and submit owner Change Order Requests, review Owner Change Orders, and update Job Cost Budget.Submit accurate monthly Project Status Reports, identify and manage risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation and capture strategies.Manage Subcontractor performance, provide notices, and take corrective actions for any issues.Prepare detailed Project Information/Close-Out Forms and Photography for the Marketing Database.What you will need to be successful:
Minimum of ten (10) + years’ experience in managing commercial projects valued at $25 million and up.Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.Strong understanding of financial and budgeting principles in construction.Bilingual is a plus, but not required.At Rycon Construction, Inc. we believe outstanding employees build the foundation necessary for excellence in business.
