is charged with day-to-day ownership of the product creation process from initial concept through commercialization and delivery of assigned product categories. This position manages all headwear, apparel & accessories SMU and printable requests from reception to commercialization.What you will be doing...Manages and drives the calendarization process and the calendar for Printables and SMU.Reviews, identifies, and drives the development of products for an organization, performing the activities of product management.Creates and executes business plans with a strong focus on margins and sell-through.Manages merchandisers who funnel all the analytics from sales figures, customer reaction, market trends to anticipate product needs and execute timely, quantifiable, right time strategies.Understands the market through demographics, competitive landscape, and company’s needs.Owns all market intelligence relevant to building consumer-right, trend-right product lines that will deliver explosive, sustainable growth and meet or exceed category and brand objectives.Gathers valuable consumer insights through market research, tracking competition, analyzing historical data, requesting regional sales inputs, attending key account meetings and trade shows, and maintaining all Market Intelligence that helps drive smart business decisions and identifies growth opportunities.Builds strategic vision on short and long-term initiatives for assigned product lines that achieve or exceed revenue and gross margin targets.Creates line architecture and line plans that fulfill consumer/market needs, enhances the customer experience, expresses brand vision, tells great stories, and ensures style/SKU efficiencies while achieving margin targets and financial goals.Creates and standardizes process and workflow.Utilizes data and research results to provide seasonal ideation and insight to design and development team.Ensures the Merchandisers present the product line to internal and external customers.Presents new product opportunities to senior management, key retailers, at sales meetings, and at trade shows in order to communicate the product direction, vision, and positioning.Executes presentations to internal customers.Develops clear product briefs that deliver on brand vision, seasonal direction, whitespace opportunities, and innovation.Fosters and maintains collaborative intradepartmental relationships with all cross-functional teams, exhibiting leadership and expertise in product categories.Demonstrates effective presentation and interpersonal skills as well as informs presentations through research, key data points, and depth of knowledge of consumer, marketplace, and product.Creates and maintains accurate product data including fit, silhouette, materials, trims, style names, style numbers, prices, colors, leagues, teams, royalties, etc.Builds support tools to ensure product initiatives and details are effectively communicated throughout the organization and to all other relevant groups.Drives the execution of and adherence to all key Product Calendar dates.Tracks and reports weekly/monthly updates to management on the progress of assigned product categories.What you will bring...Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.5+ years related experience in the apparel or headwear industry, specializing in product line management.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to make sound, logical decisions based on category product needs.Works independently on several projects simultaneously while adhering to a specified deadline.Excellent communication skills; effectively interacts with departments (marketing, design), Vendor Offices, and manufacturing partners via phone, written communication, and in person.Potential travel required as requested.Understands development process including timelines, pricing & delivery.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Knowledge of Illustrator, Excel, Word.Understanding of the manufacturing process.Responds quickly to multiple projects with strong time management and organizational skills.Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers, and management.Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance, and appearance.
