KSDK , Five on Your Side in St. Louis is recruiting an experienced
Broadcast Director
to join our team for vacation relief. We are seeking a team player who has control room and production experience, is creative and thinks outside the box.
A flexible schedule is highly desirable.
This is a part-time, union represented position.
Responsibilities:
Operate Sony's ELC live automation system during newscasts
Perform routine show reviews
Combo direct and TD special events and pre-production
Execute clean newscasts while keeping a pace expected by production managers
Meet with show producer for every show, review needs and suggest ways to execute particular elements
Operate handheld and jib cameras as needed for shows and productions
Non-linear editing of promotional material
Requirements:
Automation system TD/Directing experience a must, ENPS and ELC preferred
Experience with Bit Central playback system or a similar server based playback system
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and must be a team player
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize needs simultaneously.
Experience with Edius and Adobe Creative Suite
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
