POSITION SUMMARY

Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation is looking for a Sign Shop Manager to own the representation of the brand, on-site to the guest, ensuring that communication in-resort represents the resort's vision of "be the friendliest, most welcoming mountain resort in the world."

The ideal candidate would possess 4-6 years of management experience, have a high degree of attention to detail, strong project and stakeholder management experience, ability to translate brand creative into action, and a thorough knowledge of sign design and production. The Sign Shop Manager will oversee the sign team to design, build, and deliver all resort signage and sign infrastructure as well as ensure all internal and external communication is delivered proactively and with the guest in mind.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESOversee the sign shop team (2 members) to design, produce, install, and enhance all on-mountain and base area signageManage project intake process, outlining deliverable timelines and adjustments with all stakeholdersProvide leadership both within the marketing team and at that resort as a whole, building strong relationships with all stakeholdersUnderstand, embrace and further enhance the Steamboat brandGuide brand experience communication efforts in-resort including select capital projects, partnership activations, events, and other items to be determined

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong influential and collaborative communication skillsWorking knowledge of sign production4-6 years of management/supervisory experienceHigh level of attention to detailHigh level of personal and team ownershipMust be authorized to work in the US or have a valid work permitMust have a valid driver's license and meet insurability standardsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills both in person and on the phoneStrong Computer skills required with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud proficiencyAbility to work with a wide variety of people in a cooperative settingMust possess organizational skills and generate accurate workPrioritize and recognize urgent situationsAbility to adhere to all safety policiesInteract and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp Service Excellence standards

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredB.S. / B.A in Design or equivalent field preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be able to ski/ride at an intermediate levelMust be comfortable working both indoors and outCommunicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
