Position Overview:

Responsible for the overall profitability of the branch. Primary areas of focus include maximizing branch revenue, sales, member experience, team development and morale, and minimizing operating loss. Direct the focus of team members to enhance organizational objectives. Motivate team members to consistently meet and exceed branch and individual goals. Always provide exceptional internal and external member service.

Essential Functions:

Leads the team to achieve branch profitability; creating revenue through the process of cross-selling, deepening member relationships, and strengthening member loyalty.

Responsible for the daily operations of the branch, ensuring all functions are completely and properly performed.

Ensures security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures are followed.

Develops and maintains a positive and inclusive work environment. Leads by example and serves as a trustworthy leader.

Supports team members conducting outside sales to acquire new business, including but not limited to Treasury Management/Relationship Development and lending departments.

Executes established operational goals and ensures that credit union-wide plans are complemented and supported.

Coaches and develops team members. Motivates individuals to be successful at work (i.e. provide exemplary service, demonstrate accuracy, and achieve sales and referral goals).

Maintains knowledge of and educates team on all products, services, technology, policies, and procedures.

Ensures branch is staffed effectively. Functions as a Member Service Representative/Teller, as needed.

Assists internal and external members with escalated issues; utilizes sound problem resolution skills, and maintains a comfortable and productive work environment.

Responsible for hiring, training, and continuous development of branch team members.

Maintains thorough team member documentation, writes, and issues performance reviews and disciplinary documents.

Conducts meetings to ensure important information is communicated timely to team members.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable State and Federal laws.

Provides exceptional internal and external member service.

Consistently makes positive contributions to meet/exceed personal, team, and organizational goals.

Understands and complies with all Credit Union Policies and Procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations, and adheres to requirements set forth by the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Completes other assigned duties commensurate with position.

Requirements:

High School diploma and a minimum of 7 years of financial institution experience or a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of financial institution experience.

Prior experience in a frontline position is required.

Experience leading a team is required.

Knowledge of Credit Union products and services and demonstrated ability to cross-sell; Good verbal and written communication skills, familiarity with PCs/standard software.

Demonstrated ability to train others in job duties and engage all others to function at expected levels.

Friendly and outgoing with strong interpersonal and public relations skills; Communicates with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in person and over the phone; exercises discretion on credit union matters.

Possesses excellent judgement, creative problem-solving; Able to explain reason and process of resolution.

Performs job independently with limited supervision; works effectively on own and as part of a team.

Ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow verbal directions.

Calmly and professionally handles different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrates highest levels of member service.

Promotes and applies the highest professional and ethical standards, and fair treatment of others.

Demonstrates extreme accuracy, efficiency, and quality, effectively handles multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Reports to work regularly; maintains reliable and timely attendance. Works days and hours as dictated by business needs.

Physical Requirements:

Bend, sit, or stand to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion; occasional lifting up to 10 lbs. Operate routine office equipment including computer terminals, keyboards, telephones, copiers, and calculators. Work on computer for up to 8 hours per day. Some locations may require the ability to climb and descend stairs with minimal assistance in emergency situations.
