ARL Cyber - Cyber Watch Operations Certified Analyst - Senior

The Cyber Watch Operations Certified Analyst ? Senior will be stationed at Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC) and will lead security event monitoring and correlation within a tiered Security Operations Center. This role involves leveraging Computer Network Defense (CND) analyst toolsets to detect and respond to IT security incidents, implementing standard procedures for incident response, and interfacing with the Information Security Officer and IT staff. The Analyst will conduct research and document threats and their behavior, monitor external Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) and Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs), and provide recommendations for threat mitigation strategies.

The role includes employing effective web, email, and telephonic communications to manage security incident response procedures, performing routine event reporting, and conducting trend reporting and analysis. The Analyst will respond to and mitigate security incidents reported to ARL Cybersecurity, investigate and manage incidents reported from the Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP), and ensure appropriate action is taken until incidents are successfully closed out. Additionally, the Analyst will investigate potential policy violations or security incidents, write detailed findings reports, and provide remediation recommendations to the ISSM.
