The Legal Project Management (LPM) Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Global Finance department. As a member of the LPM team, you will be responsible for providing financial analytics and support related to project and matter management support for the firm, its clients, and its attorneys, while working in a team environment to complete ad-hoc analyses, automated reporting, and special projects related to matter management. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:Utilizing analytical skills and knowledge of business, economics, and finance to complete complex and routine requests, including client fee monitoring and budget tracking.Accessing financial systems and business intelligence tools to obtain data, and build value-add analytics related to client financial performance, while delivering meaningful insights for management and attorneys.Coordinating with attorneys and support staff to develop advanced analytics and automated reports related to fee monitoring.Accurately interpreting requests to address matter management issues and facilitate the appropriate support.Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains.We’d love to hear from you if you:Demonstrate a high level of communication skills and intellectual curiosity to succeed in a fast-paced environment.Exhibit proficiency in Business Objects or another Business Intelligence Platform.Possess excellent organizing, planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.And have:A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.A minimum of two (2) years of experience.Related analytical experience in finance, accounting, or project management, preferably.Experience responding to ad-hoc requests, developing analysis, and producing reports, preferably.Prior experience managing costs, fees, and budgets, preferably.Previous experience in a customer-focused position, preferably.Benefits & Additional Information
