Job Description
We are looking for someone to drive efficiency and cost-saving initiatives, and complete projects that meet our overall strategy. You will be responsible to maintain supplier relationships and raw material inventory levels, including price, quality, and on-time delivery.
What You Will Do
Lead NPI programs
Early engagement with R&D
Focus on procurement, cost, manufacturability, service/repairability, part re-use and leverage
Establish cross functional relationships to select prototype and production suppliers
Lead and manage procurement deliverables as part of product development process
Cost estimates/projections, modelling and tracking of costed bill of material
Identify and mitigate risks – commercial, technical/quality, delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, advanced degree preferred but not required
Other nice-to-haves include: Professional Supply Chain or Project Management certification, Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification, current CQA or CQE Certifications
8+ years of experience in procurement or related area required
Experience in new product introduction
Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement Experience
ISO 9000 or equivalent experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Strong business acumen, strong engineering/technical competence
High level of negotiation skills, ability to influence
Ability to communicate across functions and on different levels, tailoring the communication and messaging; excellent communication skills – logical and organized
Proven track record to work with R&D, Product development functions
Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
Experienced in purchasing and sourcing
Project management skills
Excellent skills in Microsoft applications: PowerPoint, Excel and Word; PowerBi is a plus
Out-of-the-box thinker, decisive; experienced in and capable of leading change
Excellent team player
Historically, has demonstrated understanding the difference between giving a best effort versus doing what’s a necessity
Compensation
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually (salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)
In addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based upon company performance.
