Job Summary:

MycoWorks is seeking a Senior Director of Quality who will be responsible for designing and implementing company-wide quality strategies, with a primary focus on the Union, SC manufacturing site. This role is highly strategic and will oversee Quality Testing, Microbiological, and quality data strategies. The role supports all functions of the organization including both commercial and R&D.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the quality team is a service-oriented organization that supports all departments, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement.

Develop and maintain the company's quality system, including BOM, Raw Material, Data Tracking, MES Data Analysis, and related processes.

Implement and maintain Quality Management systems across MycoWorks facilities.

Develop and maintain quality systems and standards for the Union, SC manufacturing site.

Provide strategic input to Technology Development, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Communicate critical quality issues to executive leadership and recommend remediations.

Manage Biological/Infection Monitoring, In Process Measures, Raw Material Testing, and other quality-related activities.

Work with Tannery Management in the EU on quality system strategy and implementation.

Recruit, train, and grow quality personnel, including managers, analysts, and technicians.

Lead the coordination of quality suppliers, lab supplies, capital equipment, and lab layout for all sites.

Develop lean lab systems and lab visualization tools.

Participate in supply chain loss allocation processes to identify savings and simplification opportunities.

Establish and manage supplier qualification processes and assess vendor performance.

Lead quality-based problem solving and data analysis.

Scope and prioritize improvement projects and future implementations.

Qualifications:

BS/MS in Quality or related fields (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology).

15+ years of experience in quality management, with at least 5+ years at the corporate level.

Experience with finished product, raw material systems, method development, microbiology, and manufacturing quality.

Experience managing large, multi-functional teams across regions.

Demonstrated experience leading development and implementation of new quality systems.

Experience with multi-site operations, international experience preferred.

Professional quality certification (ASQ, ISO, Six Sigma, Certified Manager of Quality) is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide data-based insights.

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and results-focused.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
