Do you enjoy using cutting-edge technology and engineering guidelines?If you answered yes to these questions, then this position could be for you!We are currently recruiting for an Order Drafting Specialist at our Pioneer Industries, an ASSA ABLOY brand company, manufacturing facility located in Carlstadt, New Jersey.What would you do as our Order Drafting Specialist?You will be responsible for interpreting customer requirements through various forms, creating detailed manufacturing drawings using templates and AutoCAD-based systems, engineering guidelines, and sketches according to manufacturing requirements. You will work closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Sales teams as well as interact with customers.You will also:Create accurate specifications and drawings that directly impact product quality.Customize existing product designs to meet customer needs while upholding SDI standards.Utilize hardware templates to craft detailed manufacturing drawings.Develop layouts, details, and material kits for release to manufacturing.Accurately determine all custom product components required for shop drawings.Develop detailed drawings and anticipate possible issues that may come up during the installation process.Assist in creating detailed manufacturing drawings, collection and updating all necessary hardware templates.Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers.Ensure prompt resolution of customer issues and discrepancies.Collaborate closely with customers to understand their requirements and make appropriate product recommendations.Process customer orders efficiently and accurately, including specialty orders.Maintain and analyze metrics to drive process improvements.Uphold safety and ethical standards outlined by ASSA ABLOY.The Skills & Experience you need:Diploma in Mechanical or Architectural Technology preferred.Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.Minimum five years of drafting/detailing experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Inventor.Strong mathematical skills, including Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry.Experience in architectural hardware or building products industry preferred.Knowledge of order processing and UL specifications a plus.Proactive problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and organizational abilities.Collaborative team player.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Ability to focus on computer work for extended periods.Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with some dust and noise.Flexible to work overtime or weekends as needed.Willingness to travel occasionally.What we offer!We are passionate about providing amazing opportunities and benefits, so you can continue and progress a lifelong career with us.
