Job Overview:

A law firm in Florham Park is seeking an Employment Counsel with substantial experience in employment law matters. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in New Jersey and will have a strong background in employment litigation, preferably on the management side, with a track record of handling complex employment cases. Experience in employment counseling or in-house employment law is preferred. The candidate should be comfortable managing litigation from initiation to trial and should have strong communication and organizational skills.Duties:

Represent clients in employment law matters, including wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases.Provide legal counsel and advice on employment-related issues, including employee rights, workplace policies, and compliance with state and federal laws.Manage a litigation caseload from initiation through trial, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for and participating in court proceedings.Communicate effectively with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel to resolve employment law disputes.Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues to provide strategic recommendations to clients.Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.Represent clients in negotiations and settlements related to employment disputes.Stay updated on developments in employment law and regulatory changes that may impact clients.Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to address multifaceted employment law issues.Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in New Jersey.8+ years of experience in employment law matters, with a strong track record of success in employment litigation.Experience in managing a litigation caseload from initiation to trial.Prior experience in employment counseling or in-house employment law is preferred.License to practice law in New York is strongly preferred.Strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to draft complex legal documents and provide clear legal advice.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with extensive experience interacting with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.License to practice law in New York is strongly preferred.Skills:

Extensive experience in employment litigation and counseling.Strong analytical and research skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage a high caseload and meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in drafting and reviewing employment-related legal documents.Ability to effectively negotiate and settle disputes.Strong organizational and project management skills.Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
