Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Head Mechanic / Shop Manager
to lead our automotive repair and maintenance shop. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, workshop management, and diesel truck/heavy equipment mechanics.
Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Oversee the daily operations of the shop, including scheduling, budgeting, and staff management.
Mechanic Experience:
Possess extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks and heavy equipment, and have your own tools to perform jobs.
Business Management:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial retail business operations and shop management systems.
Fleet Management:
Have experience managing fleets of vehicles, including maintenance scheduling and compliance.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to both individual and commercial clients.
Project Management:
Oversee a wide range of mechanical projects within the business, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
Community Engagement:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and community members.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in leadership and workshop management
Extensive mechanic experience with diesel trucks and heavy equipment
Commercial retail business experience
Shop management and systems experience
Fleet management experience
Wide customer base and knowledge of the local area
Self-motivated and customer service oriented
Ability to oversee a broad range of mechanical projects
