We want consistent and predictable operations done the right way, every time.Plains is currently looking to fill the position of Facility Supervisor at our Terminal Isomerization and Fractionation Plant located in Shafter, CA. The successful candidate will be accountable to the District Manager for managing all aspects of the Plains NGL isomerization, fractionation plant and terminal storage facility, as well as providing operational/technical support to staff ensuring operational costs, production, quality, and HSE objectives are met while maintaining regulatory compliance.Job Purpose/Summary:Function as an Operations liaison with stakeholder groups to optimize projects in-line with business needs or requirements regarding the facility.Oversee Terminal Operations integrity-related activities, including budgeting, spending, and cost reduction initiatives.Primary point of contact for Operations for all activities involving both pipelines and facility.Ensure data is effectively managed according to applicable regulations and Integrity Management Program requirements.Develop and maintain project schedules, establish milestones for each phase, conduct regular progress reviews, and make necessary adjustments for on-time delivery.Understand project costs pertaining to labor, equipment, and materials forecast expenses, while skillfully handling budget.Guide the facility team to meet company KPIs, covering safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and financial aspects.Assign and review oversight for Operations, demonstrating leadership and mentorship to foster technical progress and growth.Key Responsibilities:Accountable for all aspects for the safe, compliant, and efficient terminal operation in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.Manage and maintain financial stewardship of Opex and Capex expenditures.Oversee the collection and collating of data for all product movements and quality control in and out of the facility and report to assigned personnel.Interact with asset integrity, engineering, commercial, and operations to identify process optimization opportunities followed by requisite policy and procedure development, implementation, and enforcement.Ensure all employees are effectively trained and empowered to safely perform all assigned tasks through continuous learning and mentoring.Liaise with Plains Marketing and Transportation Services personnel and other internal departments as necessary to facilitate incoming/outgoing railcars and trucks and inventory management.Ability to manage a multitude of priorities in a challenging, fast-paced and changing environment.Ensure all non-conformances and incidents are reported, investigated, recorded, and appropriately addressed with results and lessons learned communicated to all employees.Qualifications:Strong leadership experience and the ability to coordinate teams in an efficient and collaborative manner.Proven track record in leading high-performance teams in the execution and implementation of positive change management.Knowledgeable of LPG storage/loading facility operations with 10 years’ experience, or an engineering degree (B. Science) with 5-10 years of engineering, refining, plant processing, storage, and terminal experience.Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance for process equipment, pressure vessels, pipelines, and heaters to ensure process optimization and operational excellence.Knowledge of chemical process reactors, hydrotreating, and hydrogen plant operations.Energetic, well-organized, self-motivated with effective communication skills (verbal and written) to interact and effectively direct facility employees.Strong PSM regulatory compliance including PHMSA, SJVAPCD, CUPA, GHG, OSFM, and CARB regulations and statutory reporting.Excellent computer knowledge with advanced understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Project.Capable and willing to advance within the organization.Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks.Compliance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy including pre-employment testing.Valid state driver's license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.Our employees drive our success.
