If your answer is a vigorous, “Yes!” to these questions, then the LinQuest Corporation wants you to join our team to contribute to an exciting and dynamic effort for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) on location in Reston, Virginia.

LinQuest Corporation is seeking a Threat Intelligence – Lead Analyst/Modeler who will help advance Department of Defense (DoD) capabilities to conduct mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of complex, adaptive kill webs.

The selected individual leads a cell of intelligence analysts and/or red team SMEs to support the execution of studies and knowledge curation of a broader analytic team conducting sponsor-directed studies and analyses using an environment and MS&A tool being developed by DARPA. Other applicant requirements and job functions include:

Lead and mentor an intelligence cell to achieve broadly defined customer objectives.

Apply understanding of adversaries’ current and emergent military threat system capabilities, future concepts, and command structures.

Integrate threat expertise into actionable modeling and simulation inputs.

Develop adversary operational plans and/or concepts of operation (CONOPS) across air, land, maritime, space, and cyber domains to enable the configuration and execution of studies to perform mission-level analyses.

Develop informed scenario branches and sequels for potential adversary reaction to friendly capabilities and operations.

Author detailed written documentation, clearly communicating rationale, assumptions, and interpretation of results.

Collect and characterize information in response to the team’s requests for information.

Provide intelligence support to Blue Operations SMEs as required.

Assist with the development of behaviors and decision structures for simulation execution, and with interpretation of simulation outputs.

Contribute expertise during the conduct of studies for senior-level military decision makers, technology developers, and acquisition professionals for use in CONOPS development, force structure design, resource allocation, and targeted technology insertion.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience using AFSIM or similar mission-level M&S software.

An active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility is required.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or

Master’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

Strong technical background with strong aptitude and willingness to learn M&S scripting language (may substitute with at least one year of hands-on experience with mission-level combat modeling & simulation)

Expert threat knowledge of US adversaries’ military capabilities

Ability to adjust quickly to new organizational, technological, and employment constructs for planning and CONOPs development

Proficient in the Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE) process

Excellent project management and/or Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) skills

Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high-performing team

Ability to coordinate with government and external contractor stakeholders to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify objectives

Excellent oral and written communications skills

Extensive knowledge/experience in adversary warfighting capabilities, advanced weapons, current and future operational concepts.

At least 3 years of experience utilizing all-source intelligence and organization-specific system intelligence analysis

Direct experience developing concepts of operation and/or courses of action in support of Joint Operational Planning efforts

Active DoD Top Secret clearance with current SCI

Special Access Program (SAP) access eligibility

US Citizenship

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Red Team experience in support of wargames and/or M&S analyses

Direct experience developing likely adversary concepts-of-operation and/or courses of action in support of Joint Operational Planning efforts

Strong background in Joint all-domain operations including land/surface (at a minimum), air, maritime, space, and/or cyber

General working-level knowledge of AFSIM; familiarity with NGTS, ITASE, or other mission-level M&S environment

Specific working-level knowledge of behavior and BMC2 modeling in AFSIM, NGTS, or other similar mission-level M&S framework

Experience supporting analytical studies of military operations
