Sep 22, 2024Job Description:The City of Peoria seeks to hire an Adult Pickleball Site Lead in the Parks & Recreation Department. The purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service to adult sports program patrons by exemplifying a positive attitude and exceeding the needs of patrons. This is accomplished by assisting with the organization, planning, and implementation of a wide variety of recreation activities in various seasonal programs. The Recreational Site Lead position exercises supervision over an assigned program, event, or site. This position assists the Recreation Coordinator and Recreation Leader IV positions in executing planned events, programs, or activities.Hourly Rate:
$18.00The full hiring range for this position is $18.00 – $22.50.Essential Functions:Supervises and implements the execution of an activity, event, or program with minimal direction. Exercises the necessary supervision of personnel to meet the needs of the activity, event, or program.Communicates to the assigned supervisor regarding incidents, decisions, and issues pertaining to activities, events, or programs. Responsible for the completion and filing of accident and statistical reports regarding incidents and issues pertaining to programs, as required.Supervises and implements the distribution, care, and use of supplies and/or equipment for assigned programs.Performs on-site program inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with program and city safety policies and procedures.Maintains awareness of new developments in the field and offers suggestions to the Recreation Coordinator.Attend meetings as assigned. Assist with other recreation programs, as requested.Some positions may require the performance of additional position accountabilities and/or related duties.The ideal candidate for this position will have:Set up and create Pickleball leagues.Help promote upcoming Pickleball leagues and events.Start and moderate Pickleball leagues.Gauge activities and follow up weekly with players to continually engage them.Provide Social Media Support by taking photos and videos to upload to our Social Media platforms.Why Peoria?The City of Peoria, AZ is a thriving city in the Northwest Valley that provides excellent municipal services to our community.
