Job Summary:

The director of contemporary worship is responsible for leading and developing the worship ministry at Revolution Church by designing and implementing the Sunday morning worship experience. This includes developing a team of volunteer worship leaders, leading weekly rehearsals, and leading worship on Sunday mornings.

The mission of Revolution Church is to join Jesus in the revolution of transforming lives through teaching and service. Worship in its many styles and forms is an integral way people can see and experience God at work all around them.

Description:

Coordinating with lead pastor to design the weekly worship experience (i.e. song selection, liturgy, or other worship elements to incorporate).

Preparing weekly song list through prayerful consideration with songs in singable keys and sequenced in a good flow in regard to keys, energy, and other elements.

Scheduling of volunteers.

Personal preparation to include practice time and learning new songs.

Leading 2 rehearsals weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) 1 hour each.

Lead a well-rehearsed team of volunteers and congregation in worship on Sunday mornings, Wednesday Evenings (Celebrate Recovery) and special events (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.).

Develop a team of volunteers for worship leadership.

Nurture musical talent across all age groups, from children to adults.

Faithfully manage the worship ministry budget within the boundaries set by the church budget.

Keep up planning software with updates and features.

Qualifications:

Passionate follower of Jesus Christ.

Committed to continuous personal spiritual growth and musical growth.

Three to five years of relative experience leading worship and volunteers.

Strong musical skills (guitar or piano and vocals).

Skill and ability to organize and build a team, empower volunteers, and problem solve.

Excellent communication skills, both interpersonally and organizationally.

Experience in leading multigenerational worship teams.

Tech-savvy with proficiency in modern worship software and equipment and A/V equipment and software.

Pay:

$12,000.00 - $15,000.00 per year
