The Electrical Procurement Lead is responsible for overseeing the procurement process of electrical materials, equipment, and services. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of quality electrical products and services necessary for the company's operations and projects. The Electrical Procurement Lead works closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies for electrical materials and services.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.Analyze market trends to anticipate changes in supply and demand dynamics.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and cost criteria.Negotiate terms and conditions of purchase agreements, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.Contract Management:Prepare and manage contracts for the procurement of electrical equipment and services.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.Monitor contract performance and resolve any issues or disputes that arise.Inventory Management:Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels.Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.Coordinate with project managers to forecast material requirements and plan purchases accordingly.Cost Management:Develop and manage the procurement budget for electrical materials and services.Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce procurement expenses.Conduct cost analyses and prepare cost estimates for procurement activities.Quality Assurance:Ensure that all procured electrical materials and services meet quality standards and specifications.Work with quality control teams to address any quality issues with suppliers.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and supplier performance.Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement of electrical materials and services.Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier communications.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on procurement data analysis.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the electrical or construction industry.Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and services.Proven negotiation skills and experience in contract management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.Strong organizational and time management skills.Desired Skills:Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.Familiarity with international procurement practices and regulations.Experience with sustainable procurement practices.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Working Conditions:Primarily office-based with occasional travel to supplier sites and project locations.Full-time position with standard working hours; may require overtime during peak periods.Benefits:
