The JobWe are seeking to hire you as the Vice President of Operations of the company, to be based in Fort Worth, Texas who will plan manpower and resources, lead the fabrication and project management teams, and execute to achieve the quality, on-time delivery, and budgetary requirements of each project, while supporting the Vision of the company and its goals.

We provide American-Made products with unique excellence, integrity, and craftsmanship. Who You AreYou have been in the steel fabrication business for a long time, and along the way, you’ve honed your craft and gained wisdom that only experience can teach. You are proficient in operational software and systems relevant to the steel fabrication industry. You understand AWS, NACE/SSPC, and AISC standards. You are humble about what you know, but when it comes to your company and its work, you know your business and the direction you’re leading it better than anyone else. You have a take-charge ability tempered with diplomacy. You have the capability for managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You have the intuition to anticipate the problems and the education to administer the company as a professional organization. You have experience in both project management of multi-million-dollar, multi-sequenced projects and managing fabrication operations of multiple shops. Your employees and customers know you as an experienced manager, leader, and effective communicator. You have a fire within you that seeks to daily improve yourself and those around you. You raise up others in the workplace, recognizing and mentoring those who depend on your leadership experience. You are confident to blaze the trail alone, but wise enough to foster open discussions among employees, ensure collective participation, empower the stakeholders, and be disciplined to hold them accountable. You are well-known for a strong character and moral compass. You are not the kind of person who worries about meeting standards because you are setting higher ones. You have a Bachelor's Degree and have excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

Your Highest Responsibilities

Set the example (by word and deed) of company core values and ethics established by the company ownership.

Oversee all fabrication and project management aspects of the company, ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

Develop and lead a strong talent organization to ensure professional project management, quality fabrication, timely service, and well-trained/motivated employees.

Your Regular Activities

Optimize operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency and productivity.

Collaborate with other departments, including sales, estimating, HR, and accounting, to ensure cohesive company performance.

Manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.

Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, prospects, strategic partners, vendors, and suppliers to support the growth and stability of the business.

Ensure competitive pricing for services and material buy-outs based on periodic cost analyses and attentiveness to market standards.

Ensure fabrication, quality assurance, training, safety, purchasing, and sub-fabrication processes are current and implemented.

NotesOccasional overnight travel may be necessary to visit clients, vendors, jobsites, and fabrication shops where walking, climbing, stooping, standing, and occasionally lifting objects up to 50 pounds may be required.
