This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to take the helm of our plant operations, leading a dedicated team and ensuring the highest standards of production and service delivery. This role is integral to our operations, requiring a dynamic individual who can balance operational efficiency, quality control, safety compliance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in concrete production, plant management, and continuous improvement initiatives.Oversee all aspects of the concrete plant operations, including production, dispatch, maintenance, and quality control.Implement and manage efficient and effective operational procedures to ensure maximum productivity and minimum downtime.Coordinate with the truck dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of ready mix concrete to job sites.Develop and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for operational enhancements and implementing strategies to realize these improvements.Manage and lead a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders, including staff, customers, and suppliers.Prepare and manage the operational budget, monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.Ensure that the plant and all operations comply with environmental and other regulations.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically in concrete production and plant management.Extensive knowledge of ready mix concrete production and delivery processes.Proven experience in managing and leading teams, with strong leadership and motivational skills.Demonstrated experience in truck dispatch operations.Strong understanding of continuous improvement principles and methodologies, with a track record of successful implementation.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.Proficiency in using plant management software and other relevant computer applications.A commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Build a lasting career with us.
