Cyber Client Assurance, Principal Associate

Capital One is seeking a Cyber Client Assurance Principal Associate.Cyber External Client Assurance (CECA), a component of Cyber within Capital One, is focused on risk and control management, technical capability validation, and compliance to cyber policies to address clients’ oversight of Capital One. CECA also supports governance activities to identify, assess, control, and manage cyber risk for B2B commercialized software and services. Associates within CECA are highly-skilled information security, cyber, technology, or risk management professionals who have a wealth of experience and a demonstrated ability to self-motivate in unknown environments while supporting appropriate control processes and change management that ensure a well-managed organization.This role will help to implement, execute, and manage program delivery and innovation to create repeatable processes that effectively respond to client requests, including but not limited to assessment responses and contract reviews. This role will afford the opportunity for the Principal Associate to drive innovation, like establishing a Trust Center, and become a subject matter expert in Capital One’s security approaches and co-author external-facing security statements that proactively demonstrate our cybersecurity posture.We are seeking a forward-leaning, self-starter who can own, manage, and drive execution of our committed work, build and strengthen relationships across the enterprise, and further our innovation strategy and program maturity.A little about you:Strong curiosity and self-starterStrong desire for collaboration and ability to receive and deliver constructive feedback to help the team and our program grow and deliver the best possible productExpect feedback, seek feedback, deliver feedbackMust be able to influence without authorityStrong customer focus – need to empathize with internal subject matter experts (technical and non-technical), project managers, legal, and accountable executives and quickly determine and address their needsNeed to be able to think like our target audience – ranges from internal technical subject matter experts to VP+ as well as external client needsYou communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to your target audienceResponsibilities:Own and drive efforts to facilitate certification work and strategic prioritiesRefine initiatives and contribute to managing the team’s backlog, including prioritizationStrengthen partnership with key stakeholders across Capital OneUnderstand Cyber External Client Assurance, Independent Assurance capabilities and maintain supporting program tool portfolioCollaborate with partners across the enterprise to maintain data repositories and tools in alignment with target architectureDrive effective conversations with technology partners for Capital One products, as well as client assurance solutionsUnderstand external client needs to identify, develop or procure solutions to provide greater assuranceBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificationAt least 4 years of experience with Risk Management or Governance, with experience implementing governance frameworks such as NIST or ISOAt least 2 years of experience with Process Management and Process GovernanceAt least 2 years of working with organizational controls or managing business processesPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree2+ years of experience developing, measuring, and managing work to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)2+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products2+ years of experience in Relationship ManagementExperience developing strategic frameworks and establishing guidelines for best practicesFamiliarity with Agile principles and collaboration tools to perform work using a transparent, iterative development modelAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
