Full-TimeDescription:Reporting to the Director, Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Program Manager, Entrepreneurship Assistance Center is responsible for managing all aspects of the program, coordinating logistics, and working with multiple partners at Hofstra and in the community to achieve the program goals. This is a grant funded position. This position may be reviewed annually upon approval of the funding from ESD . This position is contingent upon grant funding.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leads outreach efforts including enrolling new mentors and mentees and facilitating mentor/mentee matches.Organizes and implements training programs including developing and planning all workshops, recruiting instructors, and managing their workflow.Facilitates technical assistance to the Entrepreneurship Assistance Center (EAC) client companies including marketing, accounting and legal services, client linkages, and mentorship.Assists EAC client companies in gaining access to capital through loans, grants, and other funding sources.Develops a marketing plan for the EAC.Interviews potential clients.Assists clients with preparing MWBE certification applications for New York State.Coordinates with the Assistant Director, Grant Writing and Management to monitor and track participant progress on the training programs.Supports and collaborates with the Associate Director, Community Engagement and Initiatives, on outreach to various constituencies to increase participation in EAC programming.Maintains and updates EAC program client files and records including intake/update forms, client surveys and assessment forms.Works with the Assistant Director, Grant Writing and Management to track EAC program goals and metrics.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.At least 3-5 years of experience with project management.Flexible schedule and the ability to attend evening workshops and events on Saturdays.Experience working with small businesses.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree preferred.Bilingual/Spanish-speaking skills a plus.Knowledge of the minority and women-owned business procurement process.Relationships with Long Island community-based organizations.EEO Statement:Hofstra University is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering diversity in its faculty, administrative staff and student body, and encourages applications from the entire spectrum of a diverse community.#J-18808-Ljbffr
