What You Will Be DoingWilmerHale, a leading, full-service international law firm, is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join our team in Boston or New York. This role primarily supports the firm's growing corporate practice, among the top in the nation for representing innovators and leading companies throughout their lifecycles in life sciences, technology, financial services and other regulated industries.The Coordinator supports the Director and Manager and contributes to a wide variety of client development initiatives supporting revenue-generating and general marketing and visibility opportunities for WilmerHale's corporate and transactional practice groups.Specific areas of focus will include events and sponsorships, marketing content development and experience management, research, market visibility and recognition efforts, support for pitches and RFPs, general business development activities and more.

About This RoleSupports the planning and execution of firm events including seminars, webinars, client entertainment and receptions, in collaboration with the firm's Operations department. Leads audience development by developing targeted invitation lists, tracking RSVPs, attendee engagement and follow-up efforts.Supports and coordinates sponsorships and annual memberships to fully leverage benefits.Plays a central role in maintaining the firm's experience and content management database (Foundation), including drafting and maintaining library of corporate matter descriptions, and performs queries and generates reports as needed.Assists in preparing sophisticated, thoughtful, and persuasive pitch materials, including RFP responses and tailored marketing collateral.In collaboration with the Library, reviews and conducts research on companies, industries, marketplaces and competitors related to pitches and other strategic initiatives; develops insights and communicates recommendations and applicable information to lawyers.Provides support for market recognition efforts, awards and legal directory submissions (Chambers USA, Legal 500, etc.).In collaboration with the firm's Public Relations, Communications and Digital Marketing teams, promotes internally and externally deals, matters, client news and other lawyer and practice highlights.Proposes and supports updates to marketing materials including improvements to attorney biographies, website content and online profiles including LinkedIn.Leads the preparation of monthly reports for firm leadership and assists with Client Development budget updates.Works with colleagues to support contact management efforts via InterAction (including contact updates, development of targeted marketing lists, tagging client activities, etc.).Performs special projects as requested by Client Development leadership team.Displays professionalism, quality service and a "can do" attitude to internal members/departments of the firm as well as external clients and vendors via email and written correspondence, over the telephone and in-person.
