Our iconic MGM Resorts brands offer a wide variety of exciting career opportunities, each with access to unlimited growth.Primary Purpose:The Strategic Sourcing Wine Director is responsible for the end-to-end management of the wine supply chain at MGM Resorts International in close collaboration with the Food and Beverage Center of Excellence. The prime purpose is to provide exceptional guest experience, increase revenue, and manage costs effectively.Strategically manage the sourcing of wine and supplier relationships.Proactively build relationships with decision makers at MGM properties to identify customer needs and ensure alignment with program charter (portfolio mix and breadth vs. end customer consumption).Manage the ordering and allocation of wines in alignment with Center of Excellence (CoE) directives.Collaborate with warehouse teams to forecast, optimize, and maintain accurate and current records of wine inventory enterprise-wide.Monitor inventory levels and work with operators to move inactive inventory.Oversee and process new wine item requests and manage system data integrity.Provide comprehensive training to Sommeliers, Managers, and operators on wine-related Standard Operating Procedures and systems.Track cost fluctuations and communicate with the CoE to assess and implement price adjustments.Work closely with Sommeliers and Beverage Managers across the enterprise offering support as needed.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.4+ years of prior relevant experience in beverage/wine service and in procurement/sourcing or supply chain management or equivalent experience with emphasis on fine dining and food and beverage category.Court of Master Sommeliers "Certified Certificate".
