practice provides consulting services to architects, building owners, and developers. Our suite of specialty analyses helps solve complex design challenges, improves constructability, maximizes energy efficiency, and increases security. We offer a range of services for the full building life cycle with the goal of helping clients execute an ambitious architectural vision. Our consulting services include materials research, specialty analyses, detailed design, engineering and construction support, and glass and façade failure investigations.The RoleWe have an opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Façade Practice. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, detailing facades, and coordinating analysis and research with the project team.ResponsibilitiesManage building envelope and curtain wall consulting projects and work directly with clients.Analyze façade performance with specialized software (i.e. loading, thermal analysis, condensation risk, geometry).Research materials and systems to determine specific project suitability.Contribute to TT’s leadership by facilitating clear communications and guidance among team leaders, promoting professional relationships internally and externally.Interpret building codes and prepare project/design/construction specifications.Prepare façade detailing in 2D and 3D format for client communication.Assist in construction administration, responding to RFI's, and organizing submittal logs.Attend construction meetings, perform site inspections, and prepare field reports for the client.Promote TT’s services and reputation in the local and national markets.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.Must have 10+ years of façade/building envelope experience on projects.Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.BenefitsDepending on your employment status, benefits may include:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Disability and other voluntary benefits.Flexible Spending Accounts for Medical & Childcare.Paid Time Off, Family Leave for New Parents, Volunteer Time.Tuition Reimbursement.Commuter Transit (where available).401k retirement savings with Company matching on employee contributions and/or qualified student loan repayments.Fitness Reimbursement.And other various wellness, diversity/inclusion and employee resource programs and initiatives.Thornton Tomasetti is proud to be an equal employment workplace.
