Openings : 2Post Date : June 11, 2024Under the general direction of the Executive Director, BTS Business Intelligence, this position provides overall, hands-on business intelligence & analytics on a wide range of initiatives. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for bringing together data from various sources to analyze and present findings to the business. This role will identify trends, gaps, and process improvements and empower the business units to make decisions with insightful analysis of data. It will partner with our external clients on consulting engagements and work cross-functionally with internal departments & senior leadership to determine best practices and solutions for any current data quality issues. This position will serve in an integral role developing data-driven business solutions using advanced analytical tools and techniques.Key Responsibilities:
Enables data driven decision making through the development of new analytical solutions, data visualization & tools.Creates robust, reusable data querying, transformation, and visualization processes in SQL, Excel, and other tools.Supports the creation and management of the True North dashboard.Engages with clients to build, execute, and sustain measurement systems and key analytical processes.Actively seeks to increase client base through networking, prospecting, leveraging ally relationships and generating referrals from existing clients and professional networks.Provides advanced data analytics for business units' internal and external initiatives.Integrates multiple data sources into one visualization to tell a story.Leverages analytics and visualization tools to present information in a way that drives fact-based decision making.Partners with key stakeholders to identify business needs and substandard systems.Balances technology and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technology and business experts.Partners with operational leaders on streamlining of data flow processes and quality improvements.Performs data analysis using available tools and publishes/designs reports as requested.Develops workflows, process maps, use case diagrams, flowcharts, and other analysis-type documentation.Performs industry research to clarify, define, or satisfy technology or business process issues.Develops analytical reports and represents large, complex sets of data through visual representation.Leads analyses and manages large datasets from claims and encounter data to support analyses through the use of efficient SAS/SQL code.Utilizes strong analytic consulting skills, and a customer service focus in order to design and deliver analytic projects to client specifications.Independently identifies and reports data patterns and abnormalities.Provides analysis of key metrics and data trends.Demonstrates exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills.Tests, tracks, and monitors data for quality, integrity, and trends.Merges multiple databases and data sources to produce answers to complex business questions.Demonstrates attention to detail and delivers quality work products.Partners with business unit leaders and/or clients to leverage data analytics to inform operational workplans or future deliverables.Serves as lead business intelligence consultant on client engagements and projects.Monitors and manages project scope and enforces change management.Helps align organizational efforts to measurable outcomes.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent in business, mathematics, information technology, or related field.5 - 7 years of progressive experience in analytics or technology.Experience in creating reports, dashboards, models, and presentations to support informed decision-making.Experience in using mathematics, data visualization tools, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into solutions.Advanced in MS Excel, Tableau, PowerBI.Proficient in SQL and/or SAS.Strong critical thinking, problem solving & communication skills (written and verbal).
