IS THIS POSITION FOR YOU?

The Assistant Vice President of Consumer Lending provides support to the Vice President of Lending for loan products including product development, legal compliance, and project management. Oversees Centralized Lending and Indirect Lending departments. Assists with leading staff toward the Credit Union mission of providing high quality service to members in a friendly, professional atmosphere.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises the Centralized Lending manager and the Indirect Lending manager. Is knowledgeable with policies, procedures, tracking and management support in each of these areas.

Works on assigned projects as directed by the VP of Lending.

Provides program administrative and user support for Meridian Link PQ, Enhanced Loan Application (ELA), Allegro, Dealertrack and Route One. Works with Symitar and OnBase on case assignments as needed.

Supports the development and promotion of loan products and services.

Assists with maintaining and updating Credit Union Consumer Lending policy/procedures as required to be current with government regulations and changes in loan services.

Meets weekly with Centralized Lending and Indirect Lending managers to ensure each department is functioning efficiently and productively. Trains with Centralized Manager and Indirect Lending Manager regarding staff development, policies and procedures regularly.

Assists with training and support on loan products or changes in procedures regarding consumer lending.

Develops and reviews Centralized Lending and Indirect Lending reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Prepare and provide reports to Vice President of Lending.

Works with the Internal Audit Manager to ensure that the quality and details of loan documents are acceptable, legal requirements are met and that all Credit Union loan policies and procedures are followed.

Conducts training, tracking, and monitoring the Centralized Lending and Indirect Lending pipelines and workflows. Provide monthly reports and updates regarding these areas.

Works with the Strategic Initiatives Manager on all project implementations and product enhancements.

Collaborates with Vice President of Lending on future internal underwriting of Indirect Lending. Will manage and oversee the internal underwriting department upon implementation.

Performs other duties as requested.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Business or related fields from a college or university with an accredited program is preferred.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of five years experience in a supervisory lending role. Experience must include consumer lending underwriting. Proficient computer and typing skills with the knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related software. Knowledge of consumer lending regulations and compliance is required.

Physical, Mental and Visual Requirements:

This position requires extensive movement within all Credit Union offices. Excellent visual and audio skills are needed. The position also requires the ability to inspect collateral on and off the premises. The position also requires a great deal of time on the telephone and the ability to function in an environment of occasional high stress.

Other:

A valid Tennessee driver's license is required, as a company car is often used in this position.
