CA - Westlake VillageWhat you'll do:AmeriHome is seeking a VP, Senior Trader to join its growing Capital Markets Trading team. This is a challenging and dynamic role requiring complex problem-solving skills, working knowledge of Capital Markets, and experience in Secondary Marketing trading and pricing of residential mortgage loans and MBS. The ideal candidate will have previously demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast-paced trading environment, a strong academic background, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. In this role, a successful candidate can look forward to a progressive career path and continued professional growth.This is not a day trader role but rather focuses on pricing, hedging, and risk management activities within AmeriHome's correspondent channel.What we are looking for:Day to Day management of the correspondent bulk trading deskAssist in the hedging of the mortgage pipeline including the buying and selling of TBA securitiesResponsible for maintaining client relationships working closely with internal sales teamAssist in margin management and maintenancePerform competitive analysis and recommend updates to pricing in order to maximize company volume and revenueEnsuring trades are executed and confirmed on a timely and accurate basisInteract with clients, trading partners, and other departments within AmeriHome on trade-related issuesWhat you need to have:5+ years of relevant work experience in residential mortgage lending capital markets requiredBachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related fieldStrong analytical, math, and critical thinking skillsAdvanced knowledge of MS ExcelExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and accuracyCFA or MBA preferredExperience with VBA and/or SQL a plusCompensation:
Salary range for new hires is generally $130,400.00 - $153,412.50 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
