Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Water Market Leader with over 10-20+ years of directly relevant experience within water and wastewater management, technical expertise and with existing relationships plus the ability to build relationships with southern California municipalities. This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing and managing water and wastewater projects from inception to completion, including program management, project management, construction management, and inspection services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing technical expertise and strategic guidance in water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance, with a focus on optimizing performance, efficiency, and sustainability. The Water Market Leader will collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional project teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that address water and wastewater challenges, enhance resilience, and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

Lead and manage water and wastewater projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Provide strategic direction and oversight to project teams, including program managers, project managers, engineers, and technicians.

Technical Expertise:

Provide expert technical guidance on water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance. Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices to inform project approaches and solutions. Act as a subject matter expert on water and wastewater issues, regulations, and technologies.

Client Engagement:

Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, goals, and challenges related to water and wastewater management. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Identify opportunities for new business development and expansion of services.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive growth, innovation, and excellence in water and wastewater management. Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks, and develop strategies to capitalize on them. Evaluate and prioritize projects and initiatives to align with organizational goals and objectives.

Collaborative Approach:

Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, government officials, community groups, and industry partners, to develop and implement comprehensive solutions to water and wastewater challenges. Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge sharing across project teams and disciplines.

Assessment and Evaluation:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of water and wastewater systems, infrastructure, and facilities. Identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and risk mitigation. Develop and implement strategies and action plans to address identified issues and enhance system performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field required;

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

10+ years of directly relevant experience within water and wastewater management, including program management, project management, and technical leadership.

Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or equivalent are preferred.

Strong understanding of water and wastewater regulations, standards, and technologies.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven track record of successfully delivering complex water and wastewater projects on time and within budget.

Ability to think strategically, innovate, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
