Job Location : Arrowhead Products - Los Alamitos, CAPosition Type : Full TimeSalary Range : $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 SalaryJob Shift : 1st ShiftJob SummaryResponsible to improve the supply chain operations by working with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and improving processes related to receiving parts and inventory. Follows the business strategic plans to reduce costs, improve delivery time, and ensures that the supply chain remains in alignment with the needs of the company.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport negotiation and execution of agreements to reach lowest total cost including terms to mitigate economic and currency fluctuations as appropriate (e.g., long-term agreements, make/buy decisions, market tests, etc.).Develop expertise on procurement of commodities related products and components that support Aerospace requirements.Process Requests for Quote (RFQs) and purchase orders for sourcing goods and services to achieve savings based on targeted specifications. Analyze and generate quote comparisons from multiple suppliers and provide proposed decisions to management.Create and execute supplier rationalization plans and support transition to existing and/or new suppliers. Implement overlap plans to prevent any Production interruption.Develop Long Term Agreement (LTA) strategies with selected suppliers.Create sourcing strategy that focuses on low cost national opportunities.Maintain a complete and current supplier database following strict process requirements.Strategically travels on an as needed basis to suppliers to build and maintain visibility of company and individual status to ensure schedules meet business expectations.Prepare status reports and create supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for on time delivery performance, quality performance.Prepare Purchase Part Variance (PPV) status and report to senior management. Ability to explain trends and reasons for variances.Lead cost reductions projects and initiatives to achieve overall business objectives.Lead quarterly business reviews with suppliers to determine need for additional support and discuss planned vs. actual results. This will include corrective action plans, alternate sourcing strategies, and contract adherence.Work with Quality Assurance to maintain and update Critical Supplier List.Maintain Approved Supplier List (ASL) with Quality Assurance. Work with accounting to add suppliers as needed to ERP systems for future buys.Support or conduct pre-screening activities to qualify alternative supply sources on key products and services based on risk mitigation, cost reduction opportunities, etc.Conduct market analyses that contribute to an optimal selection of strategic suppliers, in accordance with commodity strategies.Negotiate price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing based on data analysis.Provide support to site buyers / procurement specialists, as needed.Analyze and improve existing procurement systems, vendor agreements, logistical arrangements, and workflow systems.Track contract renewals, extensions, and modifications.Arrange supplier meetings with appropriate personnel for negotiations, capacity and capabilities reviews, monitoring and surveillance assessments, etc.Recognize and respond to customer expectations with sense of urgency.Take actions and decisions to generate ideas, products, processes in promised timely manner; involved in designs and work requiring creative imagination on a high level.Set goals in consistency with company objectives and adapt plans to changing. Perform other related duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Material Management, Economics, or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.5-8 years of supply chain experience with strategic sourcing desired.Experience dealing with manufacturing in low-cost regions.Experience with AS9100 and ITAR requirements.This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms -- Regulations (ITAR).
