Department Marketing Statement:

Transportation & Parking Services (TPS) is part of Housing, Dining, and Auxiliary Enterprises (HDAE). TPS is an innovative and self-sustaining department that supports the UCSB mission by providing safe and reliable parking, fleet services and transportation alternatives to our campus community.

Brief Summary of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Events & Parking Enforcement, the Parking Enforcement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations of the Parking Enforcement Program. Responsible for the direct supervision of evening and weekend parking enforcement team and co-supervision for daytime team. Evaluates, disciplines, and provides leadership to a diversely skilled staff.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma

Demonstrated communication skills to build alliances and partnerships.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to confront and clarify issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

1-3 years experience with parking operations, policies, and procedures.

1-3 years supervisory experience.

Working knowledge of parking operations; policies and procedures.

Working knowledge of administration and analysis of operating and capital budget.

Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, codes and ordinances related to parking management.

Proficient in operation of web-based parking related systems and office software.

Proficient in determining parking facility requirements and maintenance programs.

Special Conditions of Employment:

Maintain a valid CA driver's license, a clean DMV record and enrollment in the DMV Employer Pull-Notice Program

Satisfactory criminal history background check

Job Functions and Percentages of Time:

45%: Supervise Parking Enforcement Program - Provides leadership and supervision for the Parking Enforcement program and oversees parking enforcement staff in the field, with primary emphasis directed to evening Parking Enforcement staff.

40%: Campus Parking Enforcement - Plans, organizes, schedules, and supervises the daily field operations of Parking Enforcement staff.

10%: Guest Services & Events - In coordination with the Assistant Director of Events & Parking Enforcement and the Parking Event Supervisor, executes parking and traffic plans for minor and major events occurring on and off campus.

5%: Other Responsibilities - Assists the Assistant Director of Events & Parking Enforcement with the compilation of costs associated with operational expenses.
