Supply Chain ManagerJob Summary:This position is located at the Milliken Hillcrest Plant located in Simpsonville, SC and reports to the location's Operations Manager.

This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting processes related to production scheduling, raw material ordering, inventory control, and warehouse and distribution management.Plant and Location:The Milliken Hillcrest Plant was built in 1968 and is a leading supplier of nonwoven fabrics for the automotive industry. The plant has had a number of expansions throughout the years, and has industry certifications including OSHA VPP, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.Simpsonville is a thriving city in a great location, just 20 minutes from downtown Greenville, and an hour and a half from both Charlotte and Atlanta. The area is known for having diverse industries and has earned a reputation for its fast-paced economic growth.

From small boutiques to big box retail stores, this city is the perfect blend of urban and metro.Key Responsibilities:Own the process - develop knowledge and build on experience to support daily operations

Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing and receiving

Ordering raw materialsProduction planning and schedulingWarehouse and distributionSafe and organized Storage of raw materials and finished goodsSupporting process for executing on-time delivery for customers

Understand and effectively use the SAP planning systems to manage master data

Results focused - take ownership and accountability for producing tangible resultsDevelop a thorough understanding of all factors and conditions that impact the processes and products, including environmental impacts.Use sound communication, organization and daily management systems to guide and direct team members on safety, production, inventory and cost initiatives.

Focus on continuous improvement to drive safety, production, cash flow and cost

Participate and engage associates in the safety processIncorporate creative thinking into the problem-solving approach to identify unique and different ways to make things better/more consistent/faster/cheaper/efficientIdentify and implement continuous improvement to the supply chain process, including efficient line scheduling, reduced changeovers, inventory turns/carrying levels, inventory accuracy, and customer shipment accuracy.Keep Operations Manager informed of all situations and decisions that could impact the performance of the locationMaintain appropriate performance reports (supply chain metrics) and

prepare diagrams, charts, tables to reflect findings and support recommendations

Manage a team of product schedulers, product allocators, warehouse associates and warehouse supervisor and lead with a positive mindset and high expectationsEstablish collaborative internal and external relationships that ensure all aspects of the process operate successfully throughout the total supply chainFoster a working environment that promotes open communications, teamwork, and individual engagement to accomplish goals and objectivesEnsure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner to meet delivery objectivesEnsure that performance evaluations of team members are completed as required, provide continuous feedback on personnel performance issues, and take immediate action to recognize achievements and address deficiencies or problems

Qualifications - Required:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related fieldProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointPreferred - Experience managing a team of associatesPreferred - Experience utilizing SAP softwarePreferred -
