Scottsdale-based ANDERSON Advertising & Public Relations is looking to add an Associate Media Director to our team. We are an upbeat group of problem solvers who genuinely enjoy working together and believe our best work comes from true collaboration.As the agency’s Associate Media Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic media recommendations for clients. The role functions as a hybrid and also provides traditional planning/buying services.Job Description
Core Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive and strategic media plans that meet client objectives.Act as a strategic lead/manager and serve as backup to team members as needed.Initiate and assist in the overall direction and execution of each plan/campaign.Lead both traditional and digital teams in planning, negotiating, purchasing, implementation, and reporting/analytics/optimizations of all plans and buys.Build and maintain the agency’s vendor relationships across channels and partners.Work with department heads and agency ownership to establish processes, policies, and procedures to ensure the quality of work and services.Review and approve timesheets, expense reports, etc.Coordinate all traditional media details including planning, development, presentations, buying, budgets, authorizations, and placement.Generate and maintain all client budgets and plans.Oversee insertion orders, traffic, and material specifications.There is an opportunity to grow within this role to become part of the agency’s leadership team; currently, the role reports to the VP of Account Services.Skills and Abilities Requirements
8+ years of media planning AND buying experience; agency experience preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant category.Strong understanding of all media platforms – digital, broadcast, print, out-of-home, audio, video, managed platforms, emerging technologies, etc.In-depth understanding of the Southwest region, with an emphasis in Arizona, media marketplace, and isn’t new to buying it.Must be able to originate and maintain media objectives, strategy, brief, plan, flowchart, authorizations, POVs, etc.Experience with GA4 and other reporting technologies to provide thoughtful and detailed analysis for all client reporting.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.Drive improvement and innovation for our clients and the agency.Are you what we’re looking for?
