Overview:Since the doors opened more than 59 years ago, UF Health Leesburg Hospital has continued to build upon its reputation as a leading medical center and the most comprehensive provider of health care services in the region. The hospital offers advanced cardiovascular care, including one of the largest open-heart programs in Florida. The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primacy PCI and Resuscitation — its highest and best level of accreditation. The hospital also offers world-class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic surgery, life-saving emergency care, stroke treatment, labor & delivery, and so much more.

The Director for Quality Management and Infection Control Departments for UF Health Leesburg Hospital coordinates quality performance improvement activities across the campus to achieve performance goals. Monitors quality outcomes for the campus, provides necessary reporting to the Executive Team as needed. Collaborates with Directors of Quality across the UF Health Enterprise for coordination of standards and processes across the organization. Attends and participates in selected Department/Division Meetings, Quality Committees, Medical Staff meetings, and MCE. Collaborates with the Manager of Accreditation and Patient Safety to ensure and maintain survey readiness. Attends Physician Peer Review process as needed. Manages the Infection Control team and monitoring, and adherence to IC standards for the campus.

Responsibilities:Education:

Graduate Degree Required or bachelor’s degree Required and willing to obtain master’s degree within two years of hire.

BSN and RN Florida state license.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Clinical Healthcare experience, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred, CPHQ preferred.

Experience Required:

Five or more years of quality assurance experience in a leadership role in a health care setting at a minimum of Manager level in the Quality/Safety space.

Recent quality/safety experience in an acute care hospital serving the general adult population.

Demonstrated experience/results/leadership in driving clinical outcomes such as reductions in falls, CLABSI (bloodstream infection), CAUTI (urinary infection), SSI (surgical site infections), readmissions reduction, Sepsis protocols, hospital-acquired pressure injuries.

Experience with accreditation requirements/prep and CMS, Leapfrog, NDNQI, and NHSN ideal.
