JFS is seeking a highly skilled senior finance executive to serve in this critical and highly visible role overseeing finance and operations as a member of the Executive Team.The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to financial and data analysis, employ a collaborative management style, and demonstrate strong coalition-building skills to work successfully with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. With an ambitious strategic plan and an eye toward growth, this individual will have a broad and lasting impact on the agency.WHAT YOU’LL DOThe Vice President for Finance and Operations will ensure the provision of financial services, operations, and strategic management helping JFS to achieve its goals and initiatives while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. An important focus will be developing and improving internal controls and addressing any current and future risks. You will need to make judgment calls relative to the agency’s current operating procedures and focus on improving financial systems.Responsibilities will include strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting needs for all operational areas. You will work closely with programs across the organization to develop strategies and business plans and provide operating recommendations. An additional responsibility will be the further development of the financial reporting package to augment the base financials, which will provide additional metrics and financial information for the Board and the Executive Team.WHAT YOU’LL BRINGMaster’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field preferred.10 plus years’ experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.Working knowledge of current trends and practices in the field of expertise.Computer proficiency including working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, well-developed financial analysis capabilities.Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.A well-rounded understanding of GAAP, CFR, and applicable regulations.WHY JOIN JFS?Having a positive outlook and a strong sense of advocacy is in perfect step with our mission and vision.
