Department Summary

Oregon Tech Integrated Student Health Center supports students by providing tools which encourage them to be knowledgeable about and actively invested in the benefits of self-care and choosing well to maintain their physical and emotional wellness. Located at the main campus in Klamath Falls, it provides general medical care for illnesses and accidents, medical referral, counseling, and wellness programs.

The ISHC has a vibrant team of providers and staff working to support student success. The department is housed within Student Affairs, reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs.

Position Summary

The Department of Student Health within the Division of Student Affairs on the Klamath Falls campus of Oregon Tech invites applications for the role of Administrative Director of the Integrated Student Health Center (ISHC).

The Administrative Director is responsible for the management and leadership of the Integrated Student Health Center (ISHC), including counseling/mental health services, physical health services, and wellness activities. The Director is responsible for directing the daily operation of the ISHC in keeping with standard clinical and health promotion practices and procedures, with a sensitivity to the health needs and concerns of the Oregon Tech student population, and mission of Oregon Tech.

The Director supports quality patient care, monitoring of the patient care delivery systems and clinical practices that support optimal patient outcomes. The Director supervises all ISHC staff, maintains budgetary controls, oversees client care and health program planning, and serves as a liaison with members of the university community. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Student Affairs.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and will be excited to work with students, faculty, and staff in the holistic support of student success. Oregon Tech is seeking someone with a passion and drive to innovate and be a part of exciting new initiatives at Tech.

Minimum Requirements

Additional Requirements

Master’s degree in a related field with Nursing, Health Care Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Medical Doctor, and 5 years of experience in a clinic and/or higher education setting with direct student contact.

Ability to work effectively in a high-traffic and frequent interruption environment; including the ability to adapt to changing priorities in an effective and efficient manner.

Commitment to strategic planning, assessment, and program implementation.

Demonstrated leadership skills are required.

Ability to effectively and respectfully work, communicate, and collaborate in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer licensure (or ability to secure license) in the State of Oregon in psychology, counseling, or health administration.

Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Public Health, Higher Education or related field.

At least 5 years working in higher education with direct student contact.
