KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will oversee the daily operations of the Rooms Division, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction through efficient management of front office, housekeeping, and laundry. The role involves developing and implementing service standards, managing budgets, and leading a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The Director will also collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency, drive room revenue, and ensure the property maintains its luxury standards.The Director of Rooms will be responsible for collating and analyzing the forecast from Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, and all areas under the Rooms Division. Specific responsibilities will include submitting reports to GM/RM in relation to the budget from the Front Office Department, reviewing key assumptions, ATR, and occupancy monthly. He/She will work closely with the Sales & Marketing and Reservations team and will also be responsible for analyzing variances, developing, and implementing action plans to maximize performance and profitability.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 5 years of relevant experience at the executive level in a large 5-star international hotel or resort, managing large Engineering functions, Rooms operations, staff management, and development.Must have Shangri-La experience.Ability to lead a large and diverse team towards the achievement of the Resort’s goals.Must be energetic and innovative with demonstrated leadership qualities and committed to service excellence.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Should be a team player and be flexible to work long hours.
