Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst is a strategic role responsible for evaluating and analyzing a diverse portfolio of business ideas to drive growth and profitability. This individual will conduct in-depth research, financial modeling, and stakeholder engagement to assess the viability and potential impact of new initiatives. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills are essential for success in this role.

This is a dynamic new role created to evaluate business ideas from across the company. Imagine taking ideas that range from opening a new taproom, adding private event catering services, launching hemp based beverages, non-alcoholic products, maximizing freight backhauling, expanding distribution to new states, advertising to grow sales, etc… then analyzing those business ideas by conducting interviews in-house and with industry experts. Those results will then be combined with competitive market research and further collaboration with the finance team to build associated financial models. Ultimately the results of that research & teamwork will be summarized & presented to senior leadership. Picture a presentation that starts with a graph showing comparative ROI and relative cost / benefit of all the various new ideas, followed by a summary of each project from a strategic & financial standpoint in recommended priority order.

After we actively pursue select projects, the Sr. Business Analyst would be responsible for tracking and reporting how they are performing relative to the plans. On a quarterly basis presentations will be given to senior leadership showcasing the results across all active ideas & any recommendations to revise our strategies based on those results.

This can be one of the most fun and interesting roles in the brewery for the right person, as it is a rare opportunity to work with people across all of our teams and engage with innovative new ideas. The role requires a background similar to that of an experienced Senior Analyst in a consulting company. You must have a background in prior strategic and financial analysis across various business types, the ability to quickly learn new concepts by asking insightful questions, listening, and filling knowledge gaps with independent research. Applicants need the ability to work with a variety of personality types with respect and ease, and to be able to present back results comfortably and competently to leadership. Prior strategic / analytic consulting experience is a major plus. If this would be your first time doing any of the above activities, then please do not apply for this particular position as it will not be a good fit for either side.
