Job Summary:
The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is a member of the L.E.A.D., Inc. Philanthropy team and is an experienced fundraiser with exceptional networking and proposal development skills. The focus of this position is to assist with the management of a portfolio of major corporate and foundation prospects; to plan, organize, and implement strategies to maximize philanthropic investments from local, regional, and national corporations and foundations; and to work with organizational partners and colleagues on a range of projects. This is a newly created position, and the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations will be reporting to the Executive Vice President of Philanthropy and work closely with the Director of Grant Management; salary will be commensurate with experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience in moving a set of diverse stakeholders to consensus and to sustainable results.
Demonstrated ability to raise funds and steward funder relationships.
A deep commitment to community-led change and a track record of building and leveraging relationships within and among a diverse group of stakeholders, such as community, government, non-profits, etc.
Knowledge of all facets of the philanthropic process, including prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; knowledgeable in corporate and foundation giving and fundraising best practices.
Knowledge of all facets of the proposal development process, including prospect and project research and proposal creation/editing.
Working knowledge of development software for prospect management and basic financial software for fund management.
Willing to work at Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence (L.E.A.D., Inc.) offices in Allentown, NJ and/or remote. Must have the ability and willingness to travel nationally when required.

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to corporate partner and foundation and confidential prospect information.
Essential Job Functions:
Researches corporations and foundations to identify potential new funders.
Communicates with funders by phone, emails, written materials, and social media, and travels to meet with funders regionally and locally as needed or assigned.
Monitors the acknowledgement and recognition process to ensure that donors are properly and appropriately stewarded.
Works with the Executive Vice President of Philanthropy and the L.E.A.D. team to complete internal reports on the progress, accomplishments, and budget.
Develops, writes, and submits email inquiries, letters of inquiry, concept summaries, reports, and/or other requests for corporate and foundation engagement in collaboration with executive leadership team, staff, and L.E.A.D. board members.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Three to five years of experience in development and demonstrated success in corporate, private foundation, and major gift fundraising.
Experience managing large budgets.
Outstanding organizational, leadership, and networking abilities.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills.
Experience with SalesForce preferred.
