*Will be remote, but need to be local to the Portland, OR area!**A large well-known Healthcare Institution is hiring Scheduler/Patient Access Specialist candidates in the Hillsboro, OR area!**Job Description:*
* Answer telephones, make appointments, process referrals, maintain provider templates and appointment schedules, verify patient demographics and insurance coverage.* Confirm, cancel or reschedule appointments as requested.* Screen requests for emergency care & schedule according to guidelines.* Relay pertinent information regarding same day appointments to individual facilities according to established guidelines.* Initiate chart requests for forwarding to providers, for urgent need patients.* Maintain thorough knowledge of provider scheduling protocols.*Qualifications:*
* Aiming for Healthcare/Medical experience preferred but not required* 1 to 2 years of customer service experience required; call center experience a plus* High volume of calls experience preferred* Computer savvy, and able to handle multiple screens* Epic experience is a plus* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent***If Interested:**Please apply to the job application!*Note: Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
