Aliso Viejo, CAAs a Software Engineer on the Cloud Back-End Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in the design and development of server-side applications on a large geographically distributed infrastructure.Responsibilities

Design and implementation of features in distributed back end systemsOwnership of the implementation, and delivery of well-defined features from start to finishImplementation of unit tests via testing frameworksDefine and craft integration tests with Test EngineeringSolve performance and reliability issues at a global scaleTriage and fix reported bugsCommunicate estimates, schedules, issues, and dependencies to technical or project leadContinually bring new ideas and insights about technology to the engineering teamRequirements

BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience2 to 5+ years of relevant development experienceSkills & Knowledge

In-depth experience in RustExperience with Python a plusExperience with Kubernetes and DockerDevelopment experience with Linux and BashKnowledge in NoSQL, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and other CNCF technologiesExperience with distributed systems architecturesUnderstanding of concepts such as concurrency, parallelism, and event driven architectureKnowledge of Web technologies including REST and gRPCIntermediate knowledge of version control tools such as git and GitLabAdditional Attributes

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.$172,100 — $258,100 USDThis role is eligible for SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
