Senior Business Analyst BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Analyst for an opportunity in Minneapolis, MN! Position Title: Senior Business Analyst Location: Minneapolis, MN Anticipated Start Date: 9/30/2024. Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 6 Months. high likelihood of extension and possible conversion to a full-time role.. Job Type: Contract, Remote Pay Range: $27/hr - $45/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description: One of our top local clients is seeking a Senior Business Analyst on a contract basis to join their newly formed Sustainability team. This role will support the implementation and integration of the Watershed IT application, as well as help with the migration of data from spreadsheets into the system. The Senior Business Analyst will also play a key role in possible future integrations with our data lake or ERP systems. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Sustainability team to support the implementation of the Watershed application.Work closely with IT teams to ensure smooth data migration from spreadsheets into the application.Assist with defining and documenting business requirements, workflows, and processes.Develop a thorough understanding of the Watershed application and potentially other related tools.Help integrate the Watershed application into existing data lakes or ERP systems, towards the end of the project.Troubleshoot and resolve any system issues that arise during the migration and integration phases.Provide technical guidance and solutions as needed, while collaborating with developers and stakeholders.Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of both business processes and IT systems.Technical aptitude, with a willingness to learn new software, especially sustainability-focused applications like Watershed or Arcadia.Experience with data migration projects, particularly moving data from spreadsheets into enterprise systems.Strong communication skills, able to work effectively in a remote team environment.Familiarity with data lakes, ERP systems, and system integrations is a plus.Experience in sustainability or environmental management is a bonus but not required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Watershed or Arcadia (Sustainability Applications) is highly desirable.Previous experience in IT project management or technical system integration.
