You'll be joining a backend team that can leverage all of TikTok's existing frameworks and be a part of designing and implementing new techniques and foundation work that can further improve user experience and showcase TikTok's value proposition.As a Tech Lead Manager, you will:Lead and grow a team of 5-15 engineers to build a solid foundation for product development.Lead and develop large-scale software systems that power billions of TikTok effects.Lead and improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of the product.Collaborate with cross-functional teams as partners to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development.QualificationsExperienced in building platforms and services for large-scale consumer-facing applications.Experienced in partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver successful products.Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms.Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++.Have good team communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors with 5 years of experience.3 years of experience leading an engineering team.TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. this link .Job InformationThe base salary range for this position in the selected city is $224,000 - $410,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
