The Director, Business Development is responsible for driving complex, consultative sales of Navista memberships to new physician practice customers through face-to-face or telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives. This role develops prospects, promotes, and sells Navista solutions to new customers at all levels, leads the acquisition of new physician practices, and focuses on winning to meet development objectives. This is a remote, work from home position with travel. This position reports to VP, Navista Physician Alliance Development. Responsibilities

Grow Navista through strategic acquisition of specialty practices and expansion of existing practices through in market affiliations that meet or exceed sales objectives. Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and develop deep knowledge of the customer organization and product portfolio. Act as a primary point-of-contact for potential Navista alliance member practices. Collaborate with other business units with Cardinal Health Specialty to drive integrated selling opportunities/solutions to closure. Provide status reports to leaders on sales activities with accounts or events. Develop and maintain new target account files. Develop and generate new business development leads. Close business to exceed revenue targets. Collaborate in Navista operational meetings to develop concepts, strategies and define services. Using sound financial judgement, attend client meetings and conferences as necessary to grow business. Initiate proposals and participate in proposal writing process, as necessary and applicable. Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of price quotations, terms of sale and timelines according to company policy and within corporate guidelines. Participate in bid defense and/or capabilities meetings. Research service issues and ensure satisfactory resolution of client concerns. Assist as requested in the development of functional strategy. Qualifications

BA or BS, Advanced Degree preferred. Understanding of the specialty medicine and/or Managed Services Organizations (MSOs) market and services preferred. 8+ Specialty (oncology) healthcare sales/physician recruitment experience preferred. Demonstrated matrix management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams. Working knowledge of CRM; preferred experience with SalesForce.com. Strong community oncology operations understanding/experience preferred. Excellent planning, forecasting, financial and negotiation skills. Proven ability to design win-win strategies for Cardinal Health and the client base. Executive presence and solid presentation and communication capabilities. Strong brand promotion knowledge. Strategic thinker with ability to identify client needs. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Ability to stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities and customer needs. Ability to function effectively as a team member through remote relationships. Ability to travel 50-75 percent; mostly virtual.
