Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Expertise:

Specialize in a wide range of employee-related laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination and harassment law, pay laws, leave of absence laws, and reductions in force.

Labor Relations:

Provide expert guidance and counsel on labor relations, including assisting with labor negotiations.

Training & Compliance:

Deliver training and legal counsel to ensure compliance with labor and employment laws and policies.

Contract Management:

Review and draft various employment-related agreements.

Litigation & Representation:

Represent the company (or manage outside counsel) in litigation, mediations, employment/labor arbitrations, and before various administrative agencies.

Policy Development:

Draft and develop employment-related policies and procedures.

Investigations:

Advise on or conduct internal investigations to ensure legal and ethical standards are upheld.

Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Minimum of 7 years of licensed practice in US labor and employment law.

Extensive experience in traditional labor law.

Member in good standing with the relevant Bar.

Desired Characteristics:

Proven experience advising global companies on labor and employment matters, either as in-house counsel or with an external law firm.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues.

Proven track record of leading programs and projects to successful outcomes.
