Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the marketing of ABB’s digital offerings to the targeted market segments and manage the offerings throughout their lifecycle, in line with the market needs and division/product group/business line strategy and targets. Each day, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of one or more digital offerings. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the business results by overseeing each step involved in the offering lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. The work model for the role is remote. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. You will be mainly accountable for:
Developing and communicating the strategic vision and roadmap for digital offerings; and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunities.
Owning the technical and market specifications for the digital offering and determining a business plan for the offering that supports sustainable growth.
Analyzing market data, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform product decisions and prioritize feature development.
Managing the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality digital offerings; and prioritizing product features and enhancements based on customer value, business impact, and resource constraints.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required
10 years' experience comprised of Product Management in enterprise class software, and/or Asset Performance Management software, or cloud monitoring solutions.
Knowledge of software-related business models for energy industry segments preferred.
Knowledge of User experience (UX), design thinking and/or commercial understanding.
Sound knowledge of building and/or operating production applications and in Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
Experience applying APM practices and methods (e.g. predictive asset management, reliability centered maintenance, etc.)
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
