Sr. V.P. of Fresh FoodsThe Meat Senior Director is responsible for planning and directing the Festival’s total Meat & Seafood merchandising program. The Meat Senior Director impacts all aspects of the Meat & Seafood Department operations across all-store locations and is responsible for the effective training of all Meat department leaders and associates by providing support for all market tasks and activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversee Meat Training & Execution Specialists in leading and developing a team of meat department managers across all company store locations.Establish and execute standards for guest service, personnel performance, and in-store merchandising.Direct all purchasing and product selection, promotion and advertising plans.Monitor the department to ensure all safety standards are being met.Assess the competitive landscape and suggest changes in response to market trends.Manage everyday and seasonal assortments of products for all store locations.Analyze market trends and drive new items.Manage the department's overall profitability to ensure it aligns with the annual operating plan and adjust as needed.Investigate and resolve complaints regarding quality, quantity, and service.Develop financial forecasts for sales and profit goals for all stores' Meat operations.Assist in annual forecasting and budgeting for the Meat Department.Create Annual Operating Plan Compilation and Review for the Meat Department.Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.5+ years in a leadership environment, retail preferred.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, quantitative analysis, resource allocation, human resources, leadership techniques, coordination of people and resources.Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills including verbal communication, listening, negotiation, problem solving, decision making, and being assertive.Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote.Proficient in Servant Leadership practices.Monitoring and assessing performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Spend 40% in stores being hands-on with the Meat Departments, standing in place for long periods of time; walking in the store; bending, stooping and kneeling regularly. The remainder of time is spent in an office environment.WORK SCHEDULEThe Meat Senior Director is a full-time, salaried position. The work schedule will include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to travel within the state of WI, up to 50% of the time.
