The ideal candidate must be in good standing with the California State Bar, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLegal Representation:

Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, handling all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, and motion practice.Conduct legal research, analyze case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to workers' compensation matters.Prepare and draft legal documents, including discovery requests, pleadings, motions, and briefs.Attend hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations as required.

Client Counseling:

Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding workers' compensation claims and proceedings.Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed of case status and developments.Develop case strategies and advise clients on the best legal options available.

Court Appearances:

Travel to various venues within California for court appearances, hearings, and depositions as necessary.Present cases before administrative judges or court officials, advocating for client interests effectively.

Collaboration and Case Management:

Work collaboratively with colleagues, paralegals, and support staff to ensure case files are managed efficiently.Ensure compliance with all deadlines, court orders, and regulatory requirements related to workers' compensation cases.Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring that all matters are handled in a timely manner.

RequirementsExperience:

2+ years of experience practicing workers' compensation law.Experience representing clients in court and handling litigation from inception to resolution.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Licensing:

Must be in good standing with the

California State Bar .

SkillsLegal Expertise:

Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and related regulations.Ability to conduct thorough legal research and effectively analyze case law, statutes, and regulations.

Litigation Skills:

Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.Strong advocacy skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in court and during negotiations.
