Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) - Litigation

to support the Litigation Practice Group. This role involves implementing and developing the Knowledge Strategy for the Group, managing knowledge resources, supporting legal education, and collaborating with various teams on innovation initiatives. The PSL will work closely with partners, lawyers, and other support staff to ensure the Group’s knowledge needs are met. This position also includes managing knowledge content, conducting legal research, and delivering training to group members.Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain resources to support the Litigation Practice Group's knowledge needs.Monitor legal and business developments to keep the Group and its clients updated.Manage and expand the Group’s collection of litigation samples, forms, models, and instructional resources.Collaborate with the Innovation team to develop and implement knowledge initiatives, including AI-related resources.Legal Support & Expertise:Provide direct legal and practical expertise to support the Group’s practice and assist with client matters.Work with the Learning & Development team to design and deliver training for junior lawyers and group members.Assist with litigation support, including monitoring core U.S. commercial litigation developments and managing the Group’s litigation process maps.Knowledge Resource Management:Maintain and improve knowledge-related content on the Group’s internal platform (GlobalNet) and ensure the information is accessible to Group members.Capture and publish relevant litigation documents, precedent materials, and practice-related content.Supervise professional support legal assistants assigned to the Group.Training & Development:Identify core training needs for the Group and organize seminars, workshops, and offsite training sessions.Train Group members on accessing and using internal and external knowledge resources efficiently.Support the Group in delivering client training and developing client-focused articles, briefing notes, and materials.Collaborate with the Innovation team to test and roll out litigation technology resources and AI platforms.Assist in developing change management strategies for new technology rollouts.Monitor and educate the Group on new or upgraded features in litigation-related subscription resources.Client & Business Development:Work with the Group and Marketing Department to identify opportunities to develop business from new and existing clients.Assist with the development of knowledge-based content for clients and help in organizing client training sessions.Cross-functional Collaboration:Participate in regular meetings with the Knowledge Department and Professional Support functions to share best practices.Work with the Marketing team to capture matter descriptions, conduct post-matter reviews, and maintain the firm’s CRM systems.Job Requirements:

Experience:5+ years of legal experience in litigation, gained from a large law firm or corporate/financial institution legal department.Prior experience in developing and managing knowledge resources and training programs within a legal environment.Familiarity with the U.S. commercial litigation process.Skills:Excellent legal drafting and research skills.Strong understanding of learning processes and training methods, with the ability to design and deliver educational content.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.Bar Admission:Admitted to practice law in Washington, DC, or the ability to become admitted.Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:

Bar admission in Washington, DC, or eligibility for admission.Preferred Skills:
