Enterprise IT (EIT) is an essential component of the current IT division that provides support to the Pharmaceutical Research, Supply Chain, Marketing organizations as well as Enabling Functions. The EIT SAP Platform Team is responsible for our Company’s SAP Global Template asset, delivering enterprise-level capabilities through harmonized business processes and data. The team is responsible for the operation of all our Company SAP and integrated solutions, governance of the associated enterprise assets, and cost-effective delivery of capabilities to support achievement of immediate and future state business objectives.

Within the EIT SAP Platform Team, the EIT SAP Basis Expert will be responsible for providing expertise in SAP landscape technologies including cloud infrastructure providers, SAP product roadmaps, SAP cloud solutions & integrations, as well as SAP landscape design, implementation, and support. You will help ensure stability of our SAP ecosystem through resilient design, high availability, performance monitoring, and secure access to SAP systems, databases, and related technologies. This critical role requires expertise in SAP Basis administration, Database administration, Linux OS, and a deep understanding of SAP architecture including S/4 and SAP Cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

SAP Landscape Administration:

Install, Upgrade, Migration, Configure, and maintain SAP systems like S4, BTP, Fiori, ERP, SLT, BW, etc. in a multi-tier landscape.

Experience with SAP RISE.

SAP Version and SPS Upgrades.

Troubleshoot and trace performance issues. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Automation of system builds and Upgrades using Terraform, Ansible.

SAP Systems Architect:

Architect and implement solutions for optimizing SAP infrastructure, including server sizing, storage, and network configurations.

High Availability with NZDT approach and Disaster Recovery solution optimizations.

Strong knowledge in AWS Cloud architecture.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the SAP landscape.

Deep understanding of SAP Cluster Solutions.

Database Administration:

Administer and optimize SAP databases (SAP HANA, Oracle, Sybase & MaxDB).

HANA Revision Upgrades using automation.

Develop and test backup and recovery procedures.

Interface and Integration:

Configure and maintain SAP interfaces using BTP-IS, PI/PO.

Troubleshoot integration issues between SAP and third-party applications. Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior team members.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other IT teams, such as infrastructure, Network, Security, and application development teams.

Work closely with SAP functional teams to understand business requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of overall SAP experience.

Expert in SAP technologies, including SAP ERP, SAP S/4, SAP BTP, Fiori, HANA, BI, SLT, and SAP Solution Manager.

Strong database administration skills (SAP HANA, Oracle, Sybase and MaxDB).

HA with Solutions with NZDT and disaster recovery using cluster software solutions.

SAP Upgrades with NZDT approach.

SAP RISE Experience.

SAP Automation Experience.

Experience with cloud native Tools and Technologies.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

SAP & AWS certifications are a requirement.
